Peace With PTSD

Trust Issues

You’ve been hurt, burned and traumatized one too many times. How could you trust another human being? All you have ever done is trusted and been let down again and again…time after time.

You want to find the goodness in someone but it seems so far away. That person you once trusted, told all your secrets to and felt safe with is now a distant memory that you can’t shake. They are out of touch and too untrustworthy.

You ask yourself, why did I trust again? I’ve been let down so many times. Mistreated, neglected and abused. But somehow, and for some reason here I am again, trusting.

You want to trust because you’re a good person. You want to see the good in others. You know you would never do what someone has done to you. Or that many have done to you. You want to give people chances instead of immediately thinking that they are not trustworthy. But…you’re scared.

Place your boundaries and guard your heart. Don’t be so quick to trust but don’t take so long that you could push someone you love away. Find a healthy and comfortable balance. Find what works best for you.

As Always,

You Deserve Peace

You Are Not Your Diagnosis
