Strength Within

Strength is something that we all have. Strength is something that we all feel we lack. It comes in all different shapes and sizes. Strength may look different to you than it does to another person. We may even use our own strength differently than one another depending on the situation that we are facing. But something that we all have in common is: We All Have Strength Within.

For years I would constantly tell myself that I wasn’t a strong person, that I could never do this, or I could never do that. There were even points in my life that I would look in the mirror and tell myself that I was weak and I could never be strong. How silly of me, I was telling myself straight-up lies! Little did I know that the girl in the mirror would grow to have more strength than she could ever imagine.

A lot of times when people say the word, “strength” their mind goes to physical strength. Like, lifting weights, running 5 miles or doing a 30 minute workout. Strength is far more than that..

Strength is waking up in the morning and getting out of bed and pushing through when you feel like giving up.

Strength is listening to someone who is struggling and offering them help when you don’t even know how to help yourself.

Strength is either remaining silent, walking away or speaking up for yourself and putting your foot down.

Strength is continuing on with your life and choosing to find your healing when you are so traumatized and wonder, is this all worth it?

Strength is pushing yourself to do something out of your comfort zone, while you’re scared and shaking.

Strength is laying a loved one to rest, but you are holding onto the hope and assurance of God’s word that you will one day see them again.

Strength is crying in your bedroom at three in the morning where no one hears or sees but God.

Strength is forcing yourself to get dressed and eat something for the first time in three days.

Strength is telling yourself that you deserve to be happy again and that you are worthy of love.

I know it’s hard, sometimes even impossible to find our strength in our darkest moments. But you have it. It’s right there within you. Never let go of it and continue to keep using it…never give up on yourself!

As Always,

You Deserve Peace

You’re Not Your Diagnosis

You Are Not Alone
