Healing

Healing is a journey that requires, time, patience, understanding and commitment. It’s not something that can be done overnight nor is it always easy.


First, you need to allow yourself to come to terms with whom or what caused you pain/trauma in the first place. Acknowledge that pain and tell yourself that it’s okay to feel the pain that you do.

Second, get treatment that fits your needs best. This could be a therapist, primary care physician or even a psychiatrist. Do what you’re comfortable with but don’t put off getting help. We all need help in some way, shape, or form.

Three, remind yourself that healing your mind and healing from trauma takes time. It needs to be done in baby steps. It’s no different then getting a cut on our leg. That cut doesn’t heal in one day or even one week. It requires attention, love and patience. Just like our trauma. So go easy on yourself and heal one step at a time. You got this, WE got this
