Don’t Sacrifice Your Health to Make Others Happy

Sometimes, friends and family ask things of you without giving a single thought to how it may affect you. Some will even take advantage of you and walk all over you willingly, because you allowed it for so long.


If you’re like me, then you have sacrificed your health and well-being just to make others happy. Even when they have taken full advantage of you and have never given you the same support or even a thank you back.


Stop putting others before yourself. People will not always treat you and respect you the way that you deserve to be treated and respected.


Find the boldness within yourself and say, “I’m sorry but I am not able to do that.” And leave it at that. You don’t owe them any explanation or reasoning.


If they can’t respect you and keep pestering you, simply walk away, don’t answer the phone, and don’t respond to that text. No answer is an answer.


Take that step forward in protecting your body and mind. You owe it to yourself.
